The honeymoon

Our honeymoon took us first to Niagara Falls Canada where we enjoyed 3 days viewing the falls and other tourist attractions there. Click on each thumbnail for a larger picture. Use your BACK button to return to this index.

The Bridal Falls and Observation Area Jim in front of the Bridal Falls
After lunch we went to the Bridal Falls observation area. I'm the small spec of white in the middle down there.. This is Jim standing in front of the Bridal Falls.
Beth in front of the Bridal Falls Cave of the Winds
Now here's me in front of the Bridal Falls. Then we decided to do the Cave of the Winds. It's not really a cave but rather a series of wood decks and stairs that take you up UNDER the smaller Bridal Falls. Above is what it looks like.
Lowest Desk under Bridal Falls. Jim at Cave of the Winds
This is the view from the side of the lowest deck. You can see the American Falls off to the left. Here is Jim on one of the lower decks. The falls are rushing just inches from him. The wind gusts often blow the water from the falls over the top of the deck soaking our feet.
The Hurricane Deck at Cave of the Winds Jim attempts to stand on the Hurricane Deck
The highest deck is called the Hurricane Deck and never was there a more aptly named thing. Here is a view of said deck from the bottom. Here we see Jim standing (or trying to) on the Hurricane Deck. The wind is quite strong blowing tons of mist from the Bridal Falls and one can not be heard above the deafening roar.
Jim getting drenched at Cave of the Winds The view of the Bridal Falls from the Hurricane Deck.
Jim is now completely drenched. The Bridal Falls are crashing just feet from his back. The so called Rain-coats are totally useless. They should have given us scuba gear. Looking straight up from the Hurricane Deck, this is what you will see. (Yes, we had an underwater camera for this!)
Planet Hollywood in Niagara Falls Canada
After drying off and recuperating at the hotel we went to eat at Planet Hollywood. Then spent the evening in Clifton Heights. Here I am up on the second balcony on the left side..
