The honeymoon
Our honeymoon took us
first to Niagara Falls Canada where we enjoyed 3 days viewing the falls
and other tourist attractions there. Click on
each thumbnail for a larger picture. Use your BACK button to return to
this index.

 |
| The
second day took us over to the American side to see the American
Falls and ride on the Maid of the Mist. Above is the American falls
from the observation deck there. |
Then
we boarded the Maid of the Mist to go up river to view the Horseshoe
Falls from below. Above is a picture of one of the many boats run by
the Maid of the Mist. |
 |
 |
| There
were over a hundred people crammed onto the boat we took. Here is a
picture of some of the passengers on the upper desk with us. Note
the blue rain ponchos we were given. |
The
boat took us right up to the base of the Horseshoe falls so we could
all see it. Here I am enjoying the view. |
 |
 |
| Jim
enjoyed the ride as well. Here he is as our boat is turning to go
back downstream. |
The
view from the top of the Maid of the Mist. |
 |
 |
| Here
is what the American Falls looked like from the Maid of the Mist.
Note the smaller "Bridal Falls" to the right of the
American Falls.. |
Then
we climbed up the side of the American Falls for a closer view. |
 |
 |
| Here
is Jim enjoying the view from up here. |
While
I was climbing up a Rainbow suddenly made an appearance. Here I am
in the center of it. |
 |
 |
| After
the Maid of the Mist we walked over to Green and Goat Islands above
the American falls. This is Jim on a bridge above the American
Rapids at The Point of No Return. |
Here
Jim and I are standing on a bridge between the small islets called
the Three Sisters in front of the American Falls. |
 |
 |
| Jim
climbs out on a tree limb above the Canadian Rapids from one of the
Three Sisters. I'm freaking out behind him telling him to get his
butt back on the island! |
We
take a break for lunch and I am mobbed by a large flock of about 100
sparrows who insist on sharing lunch with me. Here they are taking
the bread right out of my hand. |
