83/88 # 102760 Hi, I am going to be nice. From: BIFF: F.E.'S PARROT on Mon May 1 7:59pm S'Talon: Please, stop calling people names, it proves nothing except that you are unable to cope with other people unless you cut them down. I do not know why you dislike me, I have nothing against you. I see that maybe you have something against me, that is fine, but I hold nothing against you. The Kid: Hi, I have as I just said, have nothing against S'Talon, so why do you think I did... I was merely describing part of my life in order to allow people a little bit of insight into my life and no one even reads what I said. I guess, you all would just rather keep to yourselves and not talk about your lives. Oh well, I'm not a hermit or a quiet person, but if you cannot cope with me trying to be nice, then I won't be.... Hyeperborean Menace: Thanks for the msg. no. Much appreciated. I do understand how you feel about the hierarchy of the Catholic church, puzzles me. I also do not agree with using violence to make converts of people. Oh well, just call me "shit on biff" 84/88 # 102763 I wonder... From: TEMPEST on Mon May 1 8:18pm If anyone here is able to think with their heart and a rational mind, rather than spouting rhetoric that serves no purpose but to antagonize and offend. Bible quotes at least have meaning... 85/88 # 102781 SIGH From: YAMASTYMIE on Mon May 1 9:55pm There are rules to be followed, but they are not. things to be done that arent. I have learned that not everyone here is a 'thumper' (AKA hypocrite, now that I think about it) In fact I find very few things that are such. We shouldnt fight, we should be helping others to be better at what they do. Bible quotes may help state what should be but dont show what is. Btter to use current example Mellowed and cHilled out® Yamabushi 86/88 # 102790 dribble From: CHILDHOOD TRAUMA on Tue May 2 12:48am refered to, in that message, the thumpers, not the bible, eh? As thumpers drool, their product is dribble, as literalist are infintile, their product is excretment. Such is the chain of life. So, tempest has posted the number publically, It is about time it was posts, those who should have did not until a specific issue was made of it, eh? Oh well, I am in a war state, and perhaps owe tempest some lead way, but It seems I owe little or nothing to any others. I AM a christian. And, if pbbs and slac are my rights as such, I plan to claim them. Be warned, however, that I change not. The myth is the free access and the acceptance. Yet S'talon was tossed, he who is more vocal and bbswise at least, more identifiable as a christian. I expect no better fact. Perhaps it is I who will learn. Such is not an ill fate. Time will certainly answer all questions. Maybe I will be able to actually offer some real information to the bbs community at large reguarding }iadminstration and qualifications for pbbs, Perhaps S'talon will give us all his view of the matter, and the silent thumpers will be forced to offer us their truth. In any event, the truth has still not come out. All that has happened is that the number is finally public. Sigh. 87/88 # 102791 Well From: NIKADEMUS on Tue May 2 1:02am as that 11 year old kid named 'Duffy' that preached in the school yards said "You'll go to Hell!¢ Just thought about quoting someone. 88/88 # 102805 Not much to add.. From: FIRE ESCAPE on Tue May 2 12:56pm As Biff, Ezekiel and Tempest have about said all there is worth saying. I will state that I am the administrator of this group ONLY because I was the FIRST Christian of this group on the boards concerned enough to find others who felt as I did. We struggled along in Email on many boards trying to all keep in touch and to help each other as friends, but found that it was very difficult to do, so the sysop of SLACC offered to give us a private sub where we could talk to each other like in MAIL without having to send a zillion letters to each person. This is ALL PBBS has ever been and all it ever will be. Very few of us regularly post there at all, it is mostly to inform eavery one of biblestudy dates and to ask for advice on scriptures. Big deal. I will give anyone interested a shoort period of access to look around it if there are any doubts. Just Log on Slacc and learn Magpie and send me a request there. If you do that, then I will oblige you. Much to do about nothing.. Fire Escape 89/100 # 102820 Childhood Trauma, you've From: IRONMAN on Tue May 2 3:48pm been beating your breast with " I'm a Christian ". That is bunk. I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it. As for your "Dribble" excuse: So you were referring to thumpers ( of which I hope I may be included as one ) ¿ No , you weren't. Message 102576: " I define myself as a BIBLICAL Christian. Having read the DRIBBLE." Your excuse is , at best, incorrect. In reality , it is........? As far as what is the criteria for being a Christian.......WE'VE posted it in message after message. Obviously, you have your own interpretation. May we have Y O U R definition of a Christian ? Please note that I don't ask for PROOF of YOUR Christianity, as I consider the question already answered. I would like to know Y O U R definition of being a Christian. For as YOU posted in message 102576, " I am the only man empowered to classify myself. ¢ So....enlighten us. W E have shown that we are not only able , but W I L L I N G, to discuss and define our definition. 90/100 # 102821 Kid, as far as blackballing From: IRONMAN on Tue May 2 4:04pm me on any board, I give you permission to do so on ANY board you are capable of doing so® That is not a challenge. That is a sincere R E Q U E S T. I know you know my name® It's " C H R I S T I A N " Certainly has a nice ring to it. I wear it gladly. So, I humbly and sincerely request, no, B E G you to delete me from any board you may desire® With absoloutely NO opposition from me® NONE Thank you for your co-operation. 91/100 # 102822 As you have seen , S'Talon, From: IRONMAN on Tue May 2 4:10pm in spite of your rather unpleasant posts, you DO have friends who are willing to stand by you. You can't straddle the fence, however. Which may be the source of your attacks upon Christians. You are afraid to chose, and you hope , by attacking us, that we will make the choice for you. It won't work that way® Y O U have to make the choice. 92/100 # 102823 Also, I would appreciate From: IRONMAN on Tue May 2 4:15pm identification of some of the boards which were supoosedly RUINED by Christian "agitation". I can list a lot of boards which have been improved by Christian agitation. 93/100 # 102824 Finally, Childhood Trauma, From: IRONMAN on Tue May 2 4:16pm I was going to answer your list of questions that you posted in message 102650. Your question number 6 displayed the depth of your sincerity, though. "6> If god said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against him." Next batch of questions, please . 94/100 # 102871 I feel that IronMan said it From: BIFF: F.E.'S PARROT on Wed May 3 12:23am all pretty well, but I figured I had better toss in my two bits. CT: I have had a coupla chats with you, I have no personal gripe with you or anything, but I feel that I should get this out into the open. If you call yourself a Christian and then want to go off on the Bible and make lude comments in reference to God, you are not doing to good of a job at proving that you are a Christian. You want to cut us (Yes, I am a C H R I S T I A N also and will stand with them now it seems that the time has come to do so) down and call us bad christians, and yet I seriously doubt that you know any of us other than by the names which you call us. We Christians tend to get together to discuss such things as The Bible and God's Will. If you would be interested in attending one of our Bible BBS studies, send me e-mail, and I will give you the info. S'Talon: You still have not yet replied as to why you dislike me so, tell me, make a stand.... Hugs to you........ The Kid: I don't much know of you other than what I have seen (which is mostly a bunch of antagonistic posts towards those that don't fit your beliefs), so I don't know what to say, however my mailbox is always open if you wanna chat... Anyone else: As I told CT, we do hold a Bible study on Wednesday nights and all are welcome. Leave me E-mail for info. Orange Biff: Fire Escape's Personal Parrot and Sword-Wielder 95/100 # 102876 sigh From: CHILDHOOD TRAUMA on Wed May 3 1:09am WHy do I always get to explain satire to a bunch of illeterate literalist? THAT was satire. HAVING READ THE DRIBBLE was a dirrect reference to the thumpers. I claim christianity. Such IS my right, via my actions and beliefs, and commitments, the dribble was a bunch of quotes, without points, presented in an attempt to discredit without the poster claiming the discredit, IF that ain't dribble, then nothing is dribble. ONCE AGAIN, an example of dribble: "I AM X Y AND Z: "bible quote 365" "I STILL AM X Y AND Z: "bible quotes 367, 913, 2312.3" the bible quotes are dribble. GOOD ENOUGH?! Sheesh, as for those "NOT" attacking my christianity, the last 7 posts, belie that. As for those claiming I have belittled the bible, you offer nothing but my sense of humor and my desire for knowledge. Neither are damning, thank you. Finally, f*** off and have a nice evening, eh? I prove I am a christian with every deed and thought. YOUR eyes need examining, not my lifestyle. Any futher claims of my damnation will be reacted to with the fire they deserve. AH, and I guarentee no-one wants me all over their sorry ass for the next 6-7 years. heh heh heh. As for insults, I hit generals, it is up to you to classify yourself, eh? But I refuse to meekly accept insults to my intelligence. NO BIG DEAL. ah, but 2 years in the making? 2 weeks in the explaining? whatever floats your boat.... 96/100 # 102897 From: TEMPEST on Wed May 3 4:28pm CT, I'll talk to you on SLACC, heard you were there. Smile, you are doing an excellent job of demonstrating God's love. As for literalists, define said terminology. If you are referring to those who believe in special Creation (as per Genesis) or the inspiration of the Bible, then I guess I'm a literalist. What is so terrible about that? Define... 97/100 # 102919 Gee, I guess Jesus.. From: FIRE ESCAPE on Wed May 3 7:41pm Was an "illiterate Literalist" as well since he also took the Word of God literally. After all, he plainly believed that Jonah literally was swallowed by a big fish and spewed forth at Nineveh after a three day ride. See Matthew 12:39-41 and Luke 11:29-32. Jesus sets the example for us and we are to be imitators of Him as it says in Ephesians 5:1. So if Jesus had the GUTS to take the Word of God literally, so do I!!! A Literal Christian (and proud of it), Fire Escape 98/100 # 102920 CT, Tempest has a good From: THE PRODIGAL SON on Wed May 3 7:48pm point about how well (ha) you are expressing God's love. The Bible tells us that Christians will be known by their love for one another (John 13:35). Love is one way we show that we are Christians. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. What is fruit of the Holy Spirit? Basically, it is one way that our Christianity is manifested in our daily lives. A good tree will not bear bad fruit, and a bad tree will not bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit (Luke 6:43-44). (Ct, what does YOUR fruit tell people about you? "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this shouldn't be! Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grape vine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water." James 3:9-12) So, back to the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians tells us that they are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control (Gal. 5:22,23.) Lets talk about the first one: LOVE. Just what is it, and who do we give it to? Well, first, a Christian should strive to love everyone. Not just the people who are good to him, but even those would hate him or would seek to hurt him. If you love those who love you, what good is that? Even sinners love those who love them... But love your enemies, do good to them. (Luke 6:32). Thats WHO we love, now lets look at what love IS. (Beginning with 1 Cor. 13:4) "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails... And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE." This love spoken of is Agapos love, in the original Greek, a supernatural love beyond the capacity of mere mortals. It can only be achieved through the power of the Holy Spirit in the believer. You can do any good work you want to do, but if you don't have love (Agapos love) you have nothing. Ct, do you have this love? CT, are you a Christian? You say you are a Biblical Christian, yet I don't see any fruit coming from you. I'm not saying this judgementally, as that isn't for me to say. I am just saying what I see, trying to use discernment, not challenging you. You can SAY that you are a Biblical Christian, and say that you prove it in your every thought and deed, but I fail to see this fruit (proof) that you claim to have. In Luke 6:46, Jesus says, "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord', and do not do what I say?" See, CT, when you call yourself a Christian, but don't exhibit any Christian attributes (be honest with yourself- you don't) then perhaps its only a label you've pasted on yourself as opposed to a lifestyle you are willing to live. CT, think about this: "We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands. The man who says, 'I know Him', but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys His Word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in Him; whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did." (1 John,2:3-6). CT, are you walking the way Jesus walked? Shutting up now...
