The "scapegoat" concept started with the Jews ritually heaping their sins onto a goat which was then sent out into the desert to die, carrying all their evils with it. First: Axl, you are incorrect in your statements about the Koran. Allah is the Arabic name for the "God of Abraham" who is also the spiritual father of Christians and Jews. Muslim belief states that those who worship Allah or Yahweh will, if they are pleasing in his sight, ascend to paradise. I CAN give citations and quotes. They refer to the Jews as the People of the Book and Christians as the People of the Proof. Both are accepted as worshippers of God, but both are seen as having gone the wayward path. The belief in the absolute perfection of Muslims alone, and only the Muslims will go to paradise, is the creation of Shiite Muslim factions. Second: I once thought that I would become a Christian if I ever saw a true Christian. Then I realized two things: was I looking for one? what did I want to see anyway? why not find out what a Christian should be and then just be like I think they should be? The Church is a poor place to place one's faith. For the faith of Christianity is founded on Christ, not the Church. Why not find out more about Him? Thirdly: The Christian faith is NOT just another faith, as Fe has said, I'm sure a discussion on apologetics would be unwelcome, but there is substantial, supportive proof. Fulfilled prophecy, the testimony of changed lives, consistency, philosophy--all these point to, in some manner, the validity of Christian belief. I HAVE studied other religions, and instead opted for the RELATIONSHIP I needed, the relationship with Jesus.
