CW:  I doubt you evolved from an ape.  You probably evolved from a rock, and
not too long ago at that.  I don't know enough about Darwinism to get into an
in-depth argument, but:  The idea is that both humans and apes evolved from a
proto-ape, not that humans evolved from apes. And as far as apes go I've met
many people who don't even qualify that high on the evolutionary scale...  I
always love these religeous wars.  Everyone says their opinion, says everyone
else is wrong, and no one changes their mind. Oh, well.

For starters, Revelations.  Look at history.  EVERYONE in EVERY time period 
did what you just did to it, Crystal Warrior: Applied it to your own time.  
These signs have been around for ages, dude.  And, as my Theology teachers 
stated, that is the most dangerous part of Revelation.  My next door neighbor 
(When I lived in North Carolina) sold almost everything he had, and took his 
kids (My friend) out of school, 'cause he thought The Apocalypse was coming in 
1986.  Something to do with birds in Jerusalem or something...What is going on 
now, almost POSITIVELY has absolutely nothing to do with the book.  Period.

Famine: The Great Depression.
War: Take your pick.  WWI, WWII, Viet Nam, Korea, etc. etc.
Pestilance: Malaria spread by mosquitoes.

See? You can take any time period and apply those things to it.  Its worthless 
to do it to your own because 1) What're you going to do about it? 2) I've 
demonstrated how misleading it could be 3) When the end of the world comes: 
You'll know it.

It's funny that Darwin never mentioned anything about people evolving from
monkeys.  It's just somebody read his theory wrong and came up with the idea of
humans evolving from apes. Such is life..  I guess my post on the Revelation
went totally unnoticed where ever I put it.

Revelations is an interesting book, and many people have interesting
commentaries on it. A very good book that seems to be very accurate is Hal
Lindsey's book "The 1980's: Countdown to Armmegddon (sp)".
   Regardless of when the end will come upon us, we shouldn't cease to do what 
the Lord has called us to do.  When Jesus described the Rapture he said this:

   "For in the days before the flood, people were eating, drinking, marrying 
and being given in marriage, all the way up to the very day Noah entered the 
Ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and 
took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 
TWO MEN will be in the field; ONE will be taken and the other left. TWO women 
will be grinding with a hand mill; ONE will be taken and the other left. 
Therefore keep watch because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."
(Matthew 24:38-42)

   The faithful that were taken on that day were BUZY living their lives. They 
weren't sitting on the rooftop idle.  God doesn't want us totally ignorant of 
the SIGNS of his approach, that is why he tells us the "signs of the end", He 
wants us to be aware of the signs so that we make the most of the days left to 
us, redeeming the time and proclaiming his Gospel until He returns for us.

The God I worship Loves all of his children and wouldn't separate them into
good and bad.  The God i worship allows People like judas Isocarot, adolph
Hitler, and Charles Manson into heaven along with St. Peter, Sister pat kelly
and Martin Luther.  The God I worship has love and forgiveness that knows no
bounds.  I hope you get to meet him before you waste time waiting in useless
lines.

First off, the love your neighor as yourself that is ,mentioned in the Bible 
is often misunderstood.  The love there is not a feeling or emotion, but an 
action, a respect type thing.  Sometimes you hear Christians calling Satan 
names and so forth, but this is not right.  Even in the Bible when the 
Archangel Michael is talking to Satan, He shows respect to him.  He says, "The 
Lod rebuke thee."  So that should answer DooM's question back there.  Yes we 
are supposed to respect Satan, but that does not mean we "Love" him in an 
emotional way.  And all of the praying in the world can help him.  He fought 
in heaven a long time ago and was kicked out with 1/3 of the angels, now there 
is no turning back, Satan isn't just like a normal person, he is a higher 
spiritual power.
      And one would figure that since God is omniscient, omnipresent, and 
omnipotetent, then how could He make a mistake????  Answer that one....

  Omnipotent (read: All -Powerful), Omniscient (Read: All-Knowing), 
Omnipresent (Read: All/Ever Present) are Attributes of God that He has 
revealed to us through the Prophets and preserved for our knowledge in the 
Bible over the centuries of divine protection.
 
   And Snappy, I like the sound of this god of yours mainly because imperfect 
humans seem to like imperfect gods.  Only an imperfect god would join himself 
in fellowship with an imperfect human.  You are certainly entitled to follow 
this god, but I'll stick with the God of the Bible.  The God of the Christian 
Bible is perfect, and since He is perfect, no imperfection can dwell with Him, 
that is why He sent His Son Jesus, who being God in the Flesh (A PERFECT 
human) could pay the price for our imperfection and allow us access to the 
Father through mere acceptance of this pardoning act.  
 
   I don't understand why you call yourself a Christian when the god you 
describe is not the God of the Bible and of Jesus Christ. Christians are 
disciples of Jesus and as such abide by His every teaching as delivered to us 
through the apostles in the BIBLE. One can not be a disciple of Christ 
(Christian) yet deny the word (teaching) of Christ (which is the Bible). 
 
  Biff was right about loving your enemies, especially Satan. We should not 
mock or insult spiritual beings (2nd Peter 2:11) and love is more than 
emotion, read 1st Corinthians chapter 13 for better understanding of love.
And God can not sin or err in His perfection as it is written in Deuteronomy 
32:4, 2nd Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:30 and Matthew 5:48. Jesus said it best: "Be 
perfect therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect." This perfection comes 
only in JESUS.

What's really neat about God's tape system (as we are using the analogy) is
that once you trust in Jesus as your God and Savior, the bad parts of the tape
get edited out and added to Jesus' tape. It's a nifty trade off! You get
Jesus's tape and He gets yours basically. That's how you become the perfection
of God in Jesus. Through faith. You don't even need a rental card!! 24 hour
